Community Guidelines
Vyllage is built on community. These guidelines describe what we expect from every member — businesses, professionals, organizations, and neighbors — so the platform stays welcoming, honest, and useful.
Be respectful
Treat every member with the courtesy you would expect in your own neighborhood. Disagree with ideas, never attack people. Assume good intent and ask questions before assuming the worst.
Write constructive reviews
Reviews are at their best when they help other members make informed decisions.
- Share your honest, first-hand experience.
- Be specific about what worked and what didn’t.
- Give the business an opportunity to respond before escalating.
- Avoid personal attacks, profanity, and unrelated complaints.
No harassment
Targeted insults, stalking, doxxing, intimidation, sexual harassment, and unwanted contact are not allowed. This applies to public posts, reviews, replies, and direct messages.
No hate speech
We do not allow content that promotes violence against — or dehumanizes — people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, disability, or serious disease. Slurs and dog whistles are not permitted.
No spam or manipulation
- No fake accounts, sock puppets, or paid reviews.
- No bulk messaging, scraping, or automated activity.
- No misleading link bait, phishing, or referral spam.
- Don’t solicit unrelated business in reviews or comments.
Be honest about your business
If you list a business, professional service, or organization, the information you publish must be accurate. That includes:
- Real name, address, hours, and contact information.
- Photos that genuinely represent your work or space.
- Pricing and offers that you actually honor.
- Clear disclosure of any affiliations or sponsorships.
Don’t impersonate another business or claim a profile you aren’t authorized to manage.
Support your community
Vyllage works best when neighbors lift each other up. Celebrate local wins, share useful recommendations, attend community events, and welcome new members. A kind reply or thoughtful introduction can change someone’s week.
Enforcement
If content or behavior breaks these guidelines we may, depending on severity:
- Remove the content or hide it from public view.
- Limit features like messaging or reviewing.
- Revoke Verified or Featured status.
- Suspend or permanently remove the account.
Serious violations — threats, illegal activity, child safety issues — are escalated immediately and may be reported to authorities.
How to report
Use the report button on any review, profile, or message. For urgent concerns email trust@ourvyllage.com. We review every report and take action as quickly as we can.
This is professional placeholder content for early-access Vyllage. Final terms will be reviewed by counsel before public launch.
